People staying at an Edinburgh B&B this year for the Hogmanay celebrations will be able to experience a fantastic selection of Scottish folk music.

The best Scottish folk bands and musicians have been lined up for an incredible New Year's show at Edinburgh's Picture House, which is a new venue on Lothian Road.

Shooglenifty will act as headliners during an all-star night of the very best that Scottish folk music can offer, reports the Scotsman.

Also on the bill are a trio of Annie Grace, Corrina Hewat and Karine Polwart, as well as the award winning Malinky and ceilidh band Chuting Blancs.

The party runs from 20:00 to 02:00 on December 31st and the organisers intend to offer a special surprise to usher in the New Year at midnight.

Picture House general manager John Stout told the Scotsman that 'we're absolutely thrilled to have this line-up for our very first Hogmanay" which is "going to be some party'.

The chance to see in the New Year with such an amazing line-up of folk artists will no doubt prove too good to miss among guests staying at an Edinburgh B&B.
