Edinburgh B&B: Ant and Dec to speak at Edinburgh television festival
22nd May 2009People staying at the many Edinburgh B&Bs may be interested to read that television presenters Ant and Dec have agreed to make an appearance at the city's TV festival.
The leading entertainment duo will give the Alternative MacTaggart Lecture at the MediaGuardian Edinburgh International Television Festival (MGEITF), which runs from August 28th to 30th.
They will also later be joined by Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden for a special contest entitled TV's Got Talent - Edinburgh Special.
Elaine Bedell, 2009 MGEITF advisory chair, said: "The line-up for this year's festival is even more impressive than before."
"At a time when the television industry is facing cutbacks and budgetary constraints, it is vital that the industry joins together to consider its future position and the Edinburgh International TV Festival is the ideal place for this to happen."
Talks by The Wire creator David Simon and celebrity blogger Perez Hilton will also be offer during the festival for the enjoyment of people staying at the numerous Edinburgh B&Bs.
