Oxfordshire B&B: Major Oxfordshire arts festival gets underway

People staying at the many wonderful Oxfordshire B&Bs are now able to enjoy an innovative new arts festival in the county.

The Artweeks visual arts festival runs through May and June with homes and studios throughout Oxfordshire opening up their doors to exhibit art to the public.

Among 400 planned shows is an exhibition entitled The Spirit of North Aston, which will run from May 10th to 18th in the village of St Mary and feature work submitted by selected artists.

Kildare Borrowes, organiser of the exhibition, said the aim of the mini-festival is to see "what talent and imagination is out there".

"I believe we will uncover an incredible amount of it. Who knows, we may even have a great artist here and that would be really exciting," she explained.

"We know that at least 15 people are preparing works for this exhibition. It will be really interesting, fun and stimulating for all involved and for our visitors."

The opportunity to experience this packed and varied programme of arts events in Oxfordshire will no doubt prove a real treat for people staying at the county's B&Bs.
