Edinburgh B&B: Festival to celebrate Old Town

People choosing to visit Scotland and stay in an Edinburgh B&B will have the option of visiting a two-week celebration of the Old Town in June, reports the Edinburgh Evening News.

Opening on June 15th, more than 40 separate events will be organised by a collection of musicians, storytellers and artists, with houses and homes being this year's theme.

Community groups in the region will be helped out by National Museums Scotland and the National Galleries of Scotland, with the Scottish Storytelling Centre coordinating the full programme.

Visitors will be able to look around at the Old Town's impressive buildings or look into the history of their own property.

David Hicks, communications manager at Edinburgh World Heritage, told the paper: "The festival will encourage residents to explore and re-discover the world-class heritage on their doorstep and help visitors to experience the unique historic atmosphere of the Old Town."
