Why does my directory entry not link to my details page?
Only Gold, Silver and Bronze listings link to detail pages. If you have a Basic Plus listing, you can still print out your page to post to people or email to people as a link, this link will have been emailed to you when you first subscribed. It will be :
http://www.places2stay.co.uk/view.php?id= [followed by your id number].

If I do not renew my subscription, what happens to my listing?
If you decide not to renew your subscription, your listing will simply become a BasicPlus listing. You will still be listed in the places2stay directory, but it will be beneath Gold, Silver and Bronze listings and will not link to your details page.

If you have a places2stay subdomain or a .co.uk domain, these will be cancelled. However, you will be given the option to transfer your .co.uk domain to a different host. This will incur an administration charge of £25 + VAT.

I have a Gold listing and it is not at the top of the list. Why?
When several entries in the same set of results have the same standard of membership, they are then ordered by their proximity to the town in the search box - or to be more accurate, their proximity to the centre of that post code district.

Can I update my information?
Your information can be updated at any time by logging in from the home page using your email address and the password you chose during the registration process

Once signed in you will be taken to the update page which will have your current information already filled in. You can update the information as you wish. On completion just click the submit button to finish. You will then move to the next page where you can add or change your pictures and upgrade your listing.

Can I upgrade my listing from BasicPlus to Bronze, Silver or Gold?
Yes, to change the level of your subscription, log in using your email address and password. If you are happy with the details on the first page, click on submit. On the second page, scroll to the bottom of the page and select the level you wish to go to and click Submit.

You will be taken to a confirmation screen where you will be notified of the cost of upgrading. You then have the choice of whether to pay by cheque with an invoice or by Worldpay with your credit or debit card.

How do I upload my pictures?
On the second page of the Listing section there are individual screens for each of the pictures you wish to upload.

Click on the button relating to the picture, in the next screen click the Browse button and locate the photograph on your own computer. When you have located the photograph, click on it to hi-light it, then click the Open button.

You will return to the upload screen with the location of your chosen picture inserted in the box, then just click on the Upload button.

You will then see a message telling you that the database has been updated and that the file 'xxxxxxxxxx.xxx' (this will be the name of your picture eg. bedroom1.jpg) was successfully uploaded.

You will also see a thumbnail (small version of the picture) and a large version of your picture.

You can now close the upload window as you have completed the procedure.

This process will be repeated for every picture you put up, depending on the package you have decided upon.

If you wish to change your picture(s) at a later date, just repeat the process again.

Why are some listings above the Google Ads?
The listings above the Google Ads are Bronze, Silver and Gold packages and are paid subscriptions.

The listings below the Google Ads are the free packages, Basic and Basic Plus.

If you wish your listing to appear above the Ads. then an upgrade to one of the other packages is needed.
